No Loss Glitch

The Weekend League is the most important format in FIFA Ultimate Team Mode (FUT). But it seems that defeats can be avoided by stopping the game. A professional uncovers.

Over 100 players played a flawless Weekend League (WL) last weekend. 30 wins in 30 games they could achieve – the maximum in the WL.

But it seems that there is a perfidious trick currently being used which simply makes potential defeats null and void. The professional player Harry “Honey Badger” Blackmore posted a Twitter video in which he exposes the FIFA account SaLoOoM_14:

In the Champions Channel, the online archive of all FUT matches, the player had listed 52 matches for the weekend instead of the usual 30, his statistic was also 30-0 and many matches were DNF (did not finish). “I don’t quite understand how you can have so many matches,” said professional Honey Badger during his research.

In one match he even scored a goal in the 90th minute and then stopped the match. No defeat followed on his account. Honey Badger shows the clip in his video. The pro himself missed such a top 100 ranking, because this behavior also affected him.

Loyalty Glitch

You get loyalty in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team by playing ten matches with a player.

Playing ten matches with specific players in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team squad battles will reward you with a loyalty bonus, as well as coins after every match.

You can play against the CPU on amateur to hopefully quicken up the process, but manually playing all ten matches would still eat up a few hours of your time.

However, there is a workaround via the loyalty glitch.

How to do the FIFA 22 loyalty glitch on PS4 and Xbox One

You perform the FIFA 22 Ultimate Team loyalty glitch on PS4 and Xbox One by starting an offline Squad Battles match.

Then, to follow through with the FIFA 22 Ultimate Team loyalty glitch on PS4 and Xbox One, you must simply quit the match as early as when the timer appears.

This will result in a 3-0 defeat and loss on your record, but you can overcome this by following the same method as above but disconnecting from the internet.

So, to perform the FIFA 22 loyalty glitch with no losses, you need to enter a match on squad battles, pause at least when the timer appears, and press the home button on your console’s controller.

Then proceed to either the PS4 or Xbox One network settings, disconnect from your internet, reconnect, and then return to FIFA 22.

An error message will appear saying that you lost connection from the EA servers, and the squad battles match will be finished.

Reconnect to the EA servers and Ultimate Team, and you should see that the game counted as a match played but that no loss has been given to your record.

Repeat this ten times to fully exploit the loyalty glitch.

Consequences of cheating

Along these years, EA has taken a few actions against cheaters, but we still think they were not enough, especially for PC. Let’s see the main ones:

EA has created a penalty system that includes remove you from FUT Champions leaderboards (you lose your rewards), wipe your FUT coins, delete your FUT club, temporarily or permanently locking your account out of the Transfer Market, ban you from your current FIFA game, from all FIFA games or even from all EA games. Players will think twice before cheating.

This is an old one. A few years ago, EA removed a useful feature that allowed you to trade items directly with your friends. Unfortunately, they really had to do it in order to fight cheaters.

Many players were used to own several clubs and transfer the items from their starter packs, daily gifts and other offers for the main account. To avoid this, EA made these cards (and many others) untradeable. In other words, it is not possible to sell them on the transfer market.

A new two-factor authentication was added to help keep intruders away from gamers accounts. For each player it is generated a numeric pass code, valid for a short period of time, needed to log-in in accounts from an untrusted device or every 90 days. From time to time, you also see some (stupid) captchas.

EA introduced a system to detect bots accessing their servers. They have suspended thousands of accounts with suspicious activity, but unfortunately, many of them are from very active traders who are following the rules. It’s a shame to see this happening to honest gamers who paid the game. In a few cases, they got their accounts back but most of the time the best they can do is to create another account, start over again and quit doing anything in the market to avoid being banned again.

Duplicating Cards

It supposedly duplicates the cards you have. Usually, they ask you to choose the cards you want to duplicate. With this, they are ensuring that you have good cards because no one wants to duplicate worthless cards. Then, they ask your account details and… well, you know what happens next.

Buying Coins

First of all, let us make it very clear that buying coins is against the game’s terms of service. You are not allowed to do it. Besides that, when you buy coins you are making FIFA a pay to win videogame (insert sarcastic joke here…). There are several online stores selling FUT coins, FIFA Points, specific players and FUT accounts. They use different methods to sell without being caught by EA. The most popular are: player auction (you sell one of your players for the maximum price range); comfort trade (you give your credentials and they do the rest); mule account (a third account is used to transfer the coins); and FIFA auction house (you list a worthless player and the seller buys him).

Tools for PC

PC is clearly the platform more susceptible to cheats. There are several programs designed to control the game. The most popular ones are Trainer and Cheat Engine. They are able, for example, to change score, game clock, stamina, player ratings and budgets. The problem here is that EA is not taking any action against them and the game is flood with cheaters, even in online single mode. Every year, new versions are getting more sophisticated which means that they are always one step ahead from EA anti-cheats policy.

Bots are pieces of software which are permanently sending requests to the EA servers in order to stay updated and take care of automatic processes. The owner just has to indicate the price he’s interested in buying specific cards and, when they appear in the transfer market, the program makes the buy for him. The majority of these programs also automatically makes sales. The big difference between an AutoBuyer and an AutoBidder is that the first buys by BIN (Buy it now) and the other one buys by BID. Some more modern bots can also buy and sell without any intervention from the player. However, in all these cases the risk of being banned by Electronic Arts is really high.

The Maintenance Trick

As in any online game, EA has to maintain its servers from time to time to fix any errors that occur. In order to minimize inconvenience for players, EA announces these maintenance tasks with a certain lead time.

You can use this maintenance work to bid on a lot of players in advance with a favorable purchase price. This is because during the maintenance no gamer can access the game and therefore cannot outbid your offers. The players simply expire during the maintenance work and then belong to the player who offered them.

EA itself recommends setting a higher minimum price for each player before the maintenance work starts so that the cards are not sold too cheaply. However, many players do not pay attention to this advice, which can be exploited by you. For this method, it is, therefore, necessary that you inform yourself about the maintenance work of the EA servers.
