Using web app filters to trade in FUT

A great video below from one of the well known traders in the FIFA community @RunTheFUTMarket. We start the video as Nick explains how he uses filters to find particular players. You can watch the entire video for help and tips but we think this is the key part of the video to make coins. Knowing how to use filters and also using the webapp even when you have the full game is important.

Little effort big rewards

FIFA 21 gives even more chances to have amazing players and lots of coins without a lot of effort. Just doing a few squad battles per week gets you packs. Put some effort in Rivals and even some weekend leagues equal lots of packs. Though the odds of anything decent in them aren’t great all the players go towards coins or SBCs. Start to do as many SBCs as you can and weekly objectives and rewards are sometimes boss players such as flashback Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Easy Method for more Coins

Stop buying packs.

The chances of getting a very high value player are so small you will be wasting money. Gamble when you have lots of coins if you really want to.

Try to buy on a Monday between 5pm and 7pm UK time.

Our research shows this generally is the best day to buy players.

Always search on the player you are wanting to deal in.

You can then compare values and will catch bargains easier. Don’t do general searches as you won’t be able to work out the best prices at the time you are searching. Remember prices are always changing so change the filters to search on the player you are wanting to buy and sell. The FUT servers are always dodgy so also try searching without adding the position or club. So instead use league and then defender/midfielder/forward. As some players don’t show up using full search criteria.

Sell before Team Of The Year/Season.

6 weeks before they are announced sell your players. Then buy them back as the market crashes or buy the team that you want as prices will be at their lowest!

Deal in silver players.

Various silver players have high values throughout the year due to SBCs, League SBCs and Weekly objectives. The best way to find them is to slowly do league SBCs and not be desperate to complete the squads. Deal in the players people will put up lower not knowing. When they are extinct bingo, put yours up for 7 to 10k

Know when to buy In Forms.

Buy In Form players who are likely to get upgrades in February. Ever year EA release new upgraded versions of cards and the In Form versions get automatically upgraded (the normal cards stay the same).

Real life affects FUT player values.

Buy players just before really big games like the Champions League group match or a big rival match. Player prices will rise during the game of anyone who plays really well.

Buy players before the start of new SBCs.

Suddenly people will need 83 and higher rated cards from popular leagues. Very easy to make coins from stocking up on them. Also silver players for the overall League SBCs where people need a full team of each club.

Above all be patient as above. If a player doesn’t sell straight away don’t keep lowering value. Certain types of players will always have a demand.

FUT Tax Calculator

We decided to create this as a quick reference as a FIFA Ultimate team tax guide. As you should know when you sell a player in Ultimate Team (FUT) a 5% tax is removed so you only receive 95% of the value. Below we have created a quick reference chart with lots of common prices with the value after the 5% tax deduction.

Getting started

Watch the awesome video opposite by @MattHDGamer showing what to do as he explains. Everyone starts off with a very average team. Returning players from previous FIFA get free packs. There is a web app which starts week or so before the console release. On there you can see what your starter team is and open any of the free packs. You can trade on the web app as if you are on the full game. Create squads, buy and sell players and even do SBCs. If you login to the webapp daily before the game is released you receive daily gifts which are just small packs or coins.

If you ordered a version of the game where you get packs these are separate and will be available when you play on your console. Although the game only gives you 1 or 2 of the packs per week available to open. You do NOT get all packs to open as soon as you start the game. Also you don’t actually have to open a pack because it is there. Maybe let them build up and open them later in the year.

Player contracts and fitness

The players have contracts so they can play games. Default is 7 but you can add contracts which you can buy in the trade area. Every time a player plays a game they go down by 1 contract. Fitness has been removed for FUT 21 but exists in previous versions. Pre FIFA 21 it is gained by resting and lost by playing. Generally a player with 80 or lower fitness will be much slower in the game. You can buy fitness cards to add to individual players or to the entire squad.

Should you buy Points for Packs?

EA have created FUT in a way that encourages you to open more packs and get better players. This along with the professional scene exploding mean many players spend money to buy packs. Although better in game players will help you we don’t recommend spending money. Learn to play with lower rated players and even if you lose you will improve. Knowing all the controls and how to do skills will help you become a better FIFA player for every version of FIFA.

Different Special Cards

Throughout the season EA release various new versions of the players apart from the Team of the Week In Forms. In FIFA 20 there will be around 30 different types of player. Team of the Year players and Team of the Season players usually have the most hype but EA have made others such as Flashback just as good to tempt players. Below shows all the versions or Ronaldo in FIFA 15 as an example. We know that is years ago but we love nostalgia in FIFA.

Ultimate Team Card Types

Players in FIFA Ultimate team are split into three categories. Bronze players rated 0-64, Silver players rated 65-74 and Gold players rated 75 to 99. These generally reflect their ability in real life and the price reflects their popularity within the game. You can create a team mixing any of them but some competitions offline and online might have to meet certain requirements.

Each category is further broken down into Normal, Rare and In Form. The following image shows one of each for bronze, silver and gold. Normal is a standard card, rare means it is just that and more valuable.

Every week in real life some players are outstanding. Ultimate team on FIFA recognises this and creates new versions of the players with increased better stats. These are called In Form players and become available to buy and are inside packs during each week. Sometimes in different positions to their original card. If you have a normal version of a card that does not change to the in form version. It means there will be the normal version of the card available and also the In Form version.

Will your club transfer from FUT 20 to FUT 21?

No anything you did in FIFA 20 on Ultimate team stays on that version. So you can load older versions and your squads will be as you left them. EA don’t turn off the servers for previous versions so you can still play online. FUT Champions is only available on the latest version however. When you start FIFA 21 Ultimate team it is new and starts from scratch. Coins from zero and only the random players you get as a new player (bronze, silver and couple of gold). You cannot transfer anything between versions. Although there is a one time FIFA points transfer if you had them on FIFA 20. With next gen consoles arriving during FIFA 21 progress continues onto the PS5 from PS4 and Xbox S/X from Xbox One. No need to buy FIFA again or start FUT again.
